Meet the Fresh Faces of Aegis
The Aegis Team gets fresh perspective whenever we add a new team member, and these individuals are no exception. We loosely term them interns, but each comes with diverse skills and interests that shape their work with us. These individuals bring new insights and young ideas to the Aegis Team, and in turn, we help them gain experience. It’s a way for us to find higher caliber, skilled employees to fill part-time positions, but it is also a way we become more a part of the community in which we work and live.
Payton
We can hardly call Payton a new face, as she has been part of the Aegis Team for 5 years. She came to Aegis in a part-time capacity through a personal connection when she started at the University of South Florida. Her experience with Aegis evolved into a change in major to accounting. In her senior year at USF, Payton joined the ROTC. She is now in her final semester of USF’s MBA program, and when completed, she will continue her military service as an Air Force Combat Systems Officer (CSO).
Bu’Niesha
As Bu’Niesha began her studies at Hillsborough Community College, the Tampa native was seeking some work experience outside of the expected college part-time job. She came on board at Aegis in a job-sharing capacity, to work alongside Payton. In addition to her studies and work, Bu’Niesha is actively involved in the community, and has developed a particular passion for her work with the Tampa Police Department’s Explorer program.
Dylan
Fulfilling a more traditional intern role, Dylan came to us as a senior in the Heavener School of Business at the University of Florida. Having started a degree program in computer engineering, Dylan changed paths to Information Systems because he saw the opportunity to apply his computer knowledge to help businesses reach their goals. He says he has developed a more tangible concept of business operations due to his internship with Aegis. We have benefited from Dylan’s sharp mind and skills, gaining efficiencies that will last long after he graduates.
